Anansi's Story

In the beginning, all tales and stories belonged to Nyame, the Sky God. But Kwaku Anansi, the spider, yearned to be the owner of all the stories known in the world, and he went to Nyame and offered to buy them. Here's the story.

I am a teacher adviser working in Warwickshire and am going to do some model lessons using Anansi stories. I clicked onto the story and thoroughly enjoyed listening. I was completely mesmerised. As adults, we rarely have the opportunity to listen to a story other than the anecdotes we regularly share. Listening to stories is a joy - for some children and adults it is the easiest way for them to remember what has happened in a story and therefore, easier to pass on or retell.
Thank you for the story. I enjoyed it.
