SyFy

The SciFi channel has made the misguided decision to change their name to SyFy.

No, seriously.

It's worth noting that if you start to type 'syfy' into your Google search box, you'll find some other things suggested:

I've never been happier to only have 4 channels...

...Syfy makes me ask “WTF?” The blogosphere is full of reactions this morning, but I think this one is my favorite. FYI, “This is a disaster” is now my current cliché fangirl overreactio...

"Stupid is as stupid does, sir!" I hope this doesn't sink the channel. Is it just me or have you noticed that nothing decent has come out of the writer's strike? Seriously...Eureka is breathing it's last breath...Battlestar is gone.....
I wish this name change would bring a flood of decent SciFi/Fantasy to television but it won't.

No change in programming? That's like a Goa'uld saying "I come in peace". First rattle out of the box they took away the one hour a day that I dedicated to watching. 5 PM Central time...Stargate SG1. I am not a happy Taree right now.

The change in programming seems to be toward very bad movies.
And you would think they'd have tried that Google search before deciding on the rename.....huh ahuha huh it said syphilis Beavis!

What the H*** does it mean? At least SciFi made some sense. It's a pretty stupid move, I feel sorry for the poor schmuck who came up with this lame idea. Hasn't he heard about the economy? He will definetely be the 1st to go, adios moron.
